Shantala – A Beautiful Baby Massage Technique That You Can Do from his 1st month!

baby massage, shantala, yoga with babies

Why should you massage your baby?

Because massage has extraordinary benefits for the baby’s overall health, besides it is a wonderful bonding experience for both of you!

On the the baby’s first year, he establish not only his relationship with the parents (or whoever is raising him) but also with his environment. This first year is critical for his sense of security in the world and it is very related with the baby’s first chakra (root chakra or muladhara).

There is one thing I love about ancient practices, which is that they survive the test of time, because they work! Shantala is a baby massage practice with origins in India (where Yoga and also Ayurveda come from) and it was brought into to Europe in the 70’s by an obstetrician Frédérick Leboye. Because it has been alive for so long it is the best baby massage technique that you can perform.

It has numerous benefits like strengthening the immune system, improving digestion and therefore facilitating gas elimination, and stimulating the lymphatic and circulatory systems. As any massage, it relieves stress and even activates the production of endorphins, which are neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of joy and well-being.

It has a method, a feeling, a connection that only the ones that perform it can experience it!

Because I am a mother of three small ones, I known the importance of this connection not only for that first year but for the future as well.

That is why I created this course in the first place, so that many others can learn and perform this practice which is not only rewarding for your baby but literally opens anyone’s heart!
